NMF 4/3/26
Tons of new stuff out today including 2 albums. Let's dive in.
Funk Tribu - Shock
Transport to a Berlin warehouse and then get hit with a melodic breakdown halfway through the song just to be transported right back to Berlin. Funk Tribu intricately mixes 2 totally different feelings in one song. Add him to your watchlist and catch a live set if you have the chance.
Chris Stussy - Keepin’ Me High
Stussy’s album is out! Good to just hit play and listen to it through. Full of euphoric sounds and ambience. Keepin’ me high has a soothing vocal that doesn’t take up too much room and lets Chris Stussy get to work. His signature sounds are all over this record and it is a treat.
Chris Stussy - Here For The Summer
This tracks got a nostalgic feeling to it, fits right into his catalog and is a perfect addition to the album. Makes me feel like I am floating! Check the rest of the album below.
John Summit ft. Feid - Chica 305
It is tax season and with his new album out in two weeks he’s released another track; this one is featuring Feid. This is meant to be a La Danza 2.0 though I favor the original. Chica 305 does a great job with the trumpets and the rolling beats we’re used to from Tech House summit. Not bad!
Riordan & Bushbaby - Strong Rhyme
Riordan has been ROLLING in 2026. Lots of memorable tracks, this is another to add to his growing catalog. Sounds like it’s on the crest of the new wave of house with a little UK garage sound. Higher BPM with Riordan’s textbook distorted synth, be sure to check this one out.
Solardo - Feel My Desire
Solardo doing their thing as usual. Funky, groovy, bouncy. If you’re listening to this on your headphones at the office your coworkers might just catch you get up and start two-stepping.
Hot Since ‘82 - Behind Me
Another week, another Hot Since ‘82 heater. He’s on a roll which means he needs to be on top of your artists to see live list. Hypnotic, bouncy and everything you’d expect from him.
ChaseWest - Little Stranger
ChaseWest has been taking his time between releases and he’s not disappointing anyone. He’s stepping up his production and blending more sounds in a way that doesn’t feel crowded. This one captivates you from the start and keeps you listening for additional layers until the end. This one needs a few listens to be fully appreciated. We can’t wait to see how he’ll remix this in his upcoming sets.
Gorgon City - Second Nature
Gorgon City mixes vocals in impeccably on this track, as they usually do. You can hear influences of the new UK minimal sounds on this track but it doesn’t feel forced. We’ve seen other legends inspired by the new sounds and Gorgon City takes some of that influence and makes it their own.
Sultan + Shepherd - Croissant Killer (Mixed)
What a mix! One of the best buildups we’ve heard all year with a drop just as good. Textbook deep house track that hits from start to finish. Sultan + Shepherd also released a double album earlier this month that you can listen to below.
Bradeazy - Butterfly 2026
Solid remix of the Crazy Town classic. This one will be getting a lot of plays at festivals. We’re surprised it got cleared but we’re glad it did.
Deep Cut of the Week
Flamingeaux - Don’t You Worry Every Dayfarer
We’ve got a big boy mix for our gem of the week, this is deserving of more than 6k plays on SoundCloud. It mixes Swedish House Maria’s most iconic track with Eric Prydz. This has been a staple on my runs and long drives with friends. Two perfect songs at the same BPM that deserve a mix. Give it a listen!
Duff of the Week
Anyma - Beautiful ft Joji
We like Anyma and we like Joji. We also know it’s easy to dunk on Anyma nowadays but this isn’t anywhere as good as a song with both of these artists should be. Doesn’t have the sound you’d expect from Anyma. Anyone could be on the vocals and the song wouldn’t change. We were excited about this one and it disappointed us more than probably any release this year.
